A full 15kg bag of mud cake, made for kitchens that bake every day. This mix bakes into a moist crumb with deep chocolate flavour that holds up to stacking, layering and fondant. Just add eggs, water, oil and optional chocolate paste.

Bake mud cake slabs for the café cabinet, cut brownies and chocolate slices by the tray, or batch out a week of wedding and birthday tiers ahead of a busy weekend. It's the bag that keeps the ovens full and the orders moving.

Directions for Use

You'll need (per 1kg of mix): 1kg cake mix, 175g eggs (approx. 4 small eggs), 140ml vegetable oil, 265ml water, 40g chocolate paste (optional).

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. Combine the cake mix, eggs, water and chocolate paste. Mix on low for 1 minute, scrape down the sides, then mix on top speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Scrape down again, switch to medium speed and slowly add the oil. Mix for 2 more minutes (don't overmix).
  4. Pour into a lined tin, leaving 2 to 3cm of space at the top. For best results, cover the tin with foil.
  5. Bake at 150°C. Times may vary depending on your oven.
  • 8x3" round tin (1kg mix): approx. 120 minutes
  • 10x3" round tin (2kg mix): approx. 190 minutes

Storage: Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
