Light enough to soak up cherry syrup, strong enough to hold a mountain of whipped cream, and now in a bag big enough for the whole week's orders. This 15kg mix bakes a soft crumb with a smooth chocolate flavour, a size made for bakeries, cafés and caterers. Just add eggs and water.

Bake 12-inch rounds for catering gateaux, cut sponge slabs into fingers for trifles and dessert cups, or line up layer after layer for a week of cream and berry cakes. Soak it, fill it and stack it, and the dessert menu takes care of itself.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, Sugar, Colours (122, 133, 150c (contains preservative 223), 155), Whipping agent (Rice starch, Emulsifiers (471, 472b, 475, 477), Glucose, Milk solids), Raising agents (450, 500), Milk solids, Vegetable oil (Antioxidant (307)), Salt, Vegetable gum (412), Flavours

Directions for Use

You'll need (per 1kg of mix): 1kg cake mix, 4 medium eggs, 400ml water.

  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. Place the cake mix, eggs and water in a mixing bowl and mix on low speed for 1 minute, then scrape down the sides.
  3. Mix on top speed for 5 minutes.
  4. Reduce to second speed and mix for a further 3 minutes.
  5. Pour into a lined baking tin. For best results, cover the tin with foil.
  6. Bake at 150°C until fully baked. Times may vary depending on your oven.
  • 8" round tin (1kg mix): approx. 80 minutes
  • 10" round tin (2kg mix): approx. 120 minutes
  • 12" round tin (3kg mix): approx. 180 minutes

Storage: Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
